Goodluck Jane is a multidisciplinary visual artist working across painting, drawing, and mixed-media assemblage. With a background in fashion design and a family heritage rooted in painting and drawing, she integrates cut fabric, paper, and painted surfaces into layered compositions that explore identity, memory, heritage, and the human form. Central to her practice is African Ankara fabric, which she uses as both material and metaphorโ€”positioning cloth as a carrier of history, emotion, and cultural dialogue.

She began her professional career in 2021 and quickly gained recognition for her innovative textile-based storytelling. Since then, she has held numerous solo exhibitions across the United States, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, and Dubai, alongside participating in major group exhibitions in Lagos and internationally. Her work has been critically acknowledged by respected art scholars and historians, including Prof. Moyo Okediji, Bolaji Campbell, Kunle Filani, and Prof. Peju Layiwola.

She has collaborated with the La Mode Disability Foundation to teach mixed-media art to persons with disabilities, delivered lectures at the University of Ife, and mentored young creatives through platforms such as +234Art Fair, ARTX Lagos, and the Yemisi Shyllon Museum. She is a member of the African Artistsโ€™ Foundation (AAF) and the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA), and she contributed to the Lagos Cultural Weekend in 2025.

Through her evolving practice, Goodluck Jane continues to redefine the expressive and narrative power of fabric, transforming textile traditions into contemporary visual language that resonates across cultures and generations.
